Join Missionary, Alexandria Lawrence, and Jockey, Robin Huntington, as they race to solve the mystery of her arrest, allowing her to make it home in time for Christmas--The truth may set her free, but will it destroy the promise of love? MY REVIEW: I haven't been this delighted while reading a book in a long time. Not that I haven't enjoyed the books I've been reading, but wow. I felt like a guest within the story, as if I was sitting on the sofa while all the real-to-life, loveable characters were living their lives in front of me. Set in England at Christmastime, while horses race through frigid fields, and legal mix-ups lock the characters in close proximity, the story brings extraordinary, red-headed Miss Alexandra Elizabeth Lawrence to life and sets her amid the many unique family members who each add their own magic. English movies and novels have always entertained me and captured my imagination, but through word choices, dialog and masterful portrayal of English mannerisms, the author added a brilliant sense of authenticity. I purchased this book and highly recommend it. |
